JACKSON, Wyo. — The Jackson Hole & Greater Yellowstone Visitor Center located on Cache Street reopened yesterday, June 6. For travelers arriving in Jackson, the Visitor Center is a convenient and scenic spot to stop before passing through town.

The Visitor Center is owned and operated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on the National Elk Refuge. The six agencies that operate from the visitor center are the Bridger-Teton National Forest, Grand Teton Association, Grand Teton National Park, National Elk Refuge, Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce and Wyoming Game & Fish.

The following services are available at the Visitor Center:

  • Grand Teton Association bookstore
  • Trip planning: including information on lodging, campgrounds, public transportation, local businesses, and area trails
  • Bear canister and pannier rentals
  • Courtesy phones for local calls
  • Community events information
