JACKSON, Wyo. — Distance runners will lace up Saturday morning to participate in the Jackson Hole Marathon, which will take place on county roads and pathways.
Full, half and quarter marathon runners will be in the Saturday traffic mix, sharing space on roads and pathways from approximately 7:30 a.m. until 2 p.m., according to the org. No road or pathway closures are planned.
Runners have been told they “must follow all signage indicating which side of the road/pathway to run and be aware of other pathway users, bikes, pets and wildlife,” according to the event’s organizers.
Marathoners opting for the full course will begin on Town Square, winding through residential blocks in the early morning before joining the pathway system and eventually heading all the way to Teton Village along WY22.
“99.6% of the course is run on paved roads and/or paved pathways, but the last 0.1 mi into the finish line is on grass,” the marathon’s website states. “Please, no whining.”
Half-marathoners will start their run at the Presbyterian Church, joining the full-marathoners before their first mile is up. Quarter-marathoners will start at Stilson and join the pathway route.
