GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK — As solar eclipse mania sweeps across the U.S. today, Grand Teton National Park (GTNP) is looking back at the moment in 2017 when everyone looked to the sky.

Jackson Hole was in the path of totality for the solar eclipse on Aug. 21, 2017. Visitors flocked to GTNP to view the celestial event, drawing the largest crowds in park history.

GTNP’s video commemorates the historic event with footage from the Moulton Barn and the surrounding area. Visitors can be heard whooping with delight during the moment of totality. One visitor interviewed in the video shared that he had planned for the big moment for two years.

While the path of totality won’t include Jackson on Monday, April 8, a partial eclipse is expected to be visible, if the clouds cooperate.
