PINEDALE, WY – Crisp fall temperatures make September a great time to be in the foothills of the Wind River Range. This month marks the 16th annual Pinedale Half Marathon & 10K. The race will take place on Saturday, September 28. The course will take runners & walkers from downtown to the base of Fremont Lake. Those participating in the 10K will start at the Fremont Lake overlook and run back to town.
Join in for a free community BBQ, and, just in case you didn’t get enough running in, a 1-mile fun run following the race. Childcare will be available at the Pinedale Aquatic Center for race participants.
As a reminder for out-of-town participants, be ready for a high-altitude event! This 1/2 marathon starts at 7,175 feet above sea level and gains about 300 feet over the course of the race.
