JACKSON, Wyo. — Fall has arrived in a big way.
The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Watch affecting portions of western Wyoming including Jackson Hole and Star Valley. The watch will be in effect overnight through Tuesday morning. Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 28° are possible.
“Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation,” the alert reads. “Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.”
The weather service notes that dense fog will be possible Tuesday morning in Jackson Hole, Star Valley and Yellowstone National Park.
Monday night’s forecast includes a “30% chance of showers, mainly before 7 p.m.” along with “widespread frost, mainly after 3 a.m. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 29. North northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable in the evening.”
Keep an eye on potential changes here.
