JACKSON, Wyo. — Wintery weather will make a cameo tonight.
The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning affecting portions of western Wyoming including Jackson Hole, Star Valley and the Pinedale and Big Piney areas. The warning will be in effect overnight, from 1 to 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 16.

“Sub-freezing temperatures of 30 to 33 expected, with isolated areas as low as 28,” the alert states. “Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation, and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.”
The weather service forecasts an 80% chance of “widespread temperatures of 32 or less occurring,” adding the caveat that “cloud cover could keep low temperatures warmer than is currently expected.”
Clear skies are expected over Jackson tonight, as of the 11 a.m. forecast. Keep an eye on potential changes here.
