Former lawman found dead at home in Marbleton

SUBLETTE COUNTY, WYO – Sublette County Sheriff’s Deputies and EMS personnel responded to a call of an unresponsive male at 109 Columbine Avenue in Marbleton this morning at 11:20am.

Upon arrival it was determined Dennis Stefanini, 71, of Marbleton, Wyoming was unresponsive and cold to the touch. Stefanini was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Family members went to check on Stefanini after their return from being out of town. They initially found Stefanini at his residence where he appeared dead to them and they called 911. There are no indications of foul play.

Stefanini was a former law enforcement officer with the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office. He served in the 1980’s under Bob Tracy. He also spent some time working in Florida. The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office would like to extend our deepest condolences to Mr. Stefanini’s family.
