“Good news Teton County!” WYDOT posted to Facebook on Tuesday afternoon. “Crews have finished installing the pedestrian railing and the Flat Creek bridge is open to traffic! Be on the lookout for striping crews tomorrow.”

Bridge repair work began in late April, with an original goal of completion by June 10. The project was extended when crews ran into some “material issues” with half of the newly paved bridge deck, which ultimately had to be reworked.

Congestion generated by the lane closures served as a great opportunity to practice the zipper merge, which can be employed in numerous locations in Teton County.
