STAR VALLEY, WYO – Firefighters are fairly confident they have the Fire Trail Fire in check. The fire is still at about 30 acres with 94% containment now achieved.

Crews will continue today to look for hot spots outside of the fire line and mop up. That includes extinguishing burning material from control lines, felling snags, trenching logs to prevent roll out to make a fire safe, and reducing residual smoke.

The fire is transitioning to a local district Type 4 incident on Saturday. Fires are rated on complexity on a scale from 5 to 1 with a Type 1 being the most complex.

Closures remain in place for FS #10001 –FT # 3183 (Squaw-Murphy route) and Squaw Flat dispersed camping area.
