DRIGGS, Idaho — The City of Driggs announced the launch of three brand new MCI “coach” buses as an addition to its START fleet, made possible through a federal BUILD grant.
According to the City of Driggs, the buses enhance the Teton Corridor Mobility Improvement Projects, a series of multimodal transportation projects along the ID-33/WY-22 corridor between Driggs, Idaho and Jackson, Wyoming.
The new MCI coach buses are equipped with full-height seats with footrests, WiFi and real-time bus location feature, accessible through START’s new app. Riders can now track the bus in real-time which will help plan rides more efficiently. The app also enables riders to pay their fares directly from their smartphones.

The buses are now operating at three trips per day and START is planning to ramp up their service to an average of eight trips per day. The route has not changed and they will follow the same winter season 2023/2024 Teton Valley (TV) commuter schedule as all the other START buses.
