JACKSON, Wyo. — The Town of Jackson Engineering Division announced that commuters should expect delays at the Gregory Lane and High School Road intersection as crews install a new sewer manhole on Wednesday, July 19, starting at 7 a.m.

As part of the continued work for the Gregory Lane rebuild project, Town of Jackson and Evans Construction will be limiting High School Road to one-way alternating traffic with active traffic flaggers at the Gregory Lane intersection. Expect delays at this location and plan to use an alternate route if possible. Gregory Lane will remain closed to through traffic from the High School Road intersection to the bike path crossing a block to the north.

The Town of Jackson wrote via press release that the construction schedule is dependent upon weather and material delivery.

“We will keep you updated on any major changes to the schedule as construction progresses,” the Town of Jackson wrote.

Motorists are advised to respect and avoid private property, and to stick to marked detour routes. The Town of Jackson said in the announcement that motorists are to reduce speed, follow lane shift routes and obey traffic flaggers’ directions in construction zones.

“Please be aware of, and obey all construction notification, detour and parking restriction signage as it is there for your safety and the safety of the construction workers,” the Town of Jackson said.

The Town of Jackson is reminding community members that “Bike-to-Work Wednesdays are in full swing this summer” and to consider riding a bike during the construction.
