Electronic Hop flares for New Year’s Eve

JACKSON HOLE, WYO & VICTOR, ID – For dance party revelers and electronic music enthusiasts, this New Year’s Eve was curated especially for you. The Pink Garter Theatre will host an eclectic double bill featuring Grammy-nominated electronic duo The Crystal Method with support from Ayron Jones, the latter bringing a heavy rock n’ roll trio sound ala Gary Clark, Jr.

Formed in 1993, The Crystal Method was arguably once known as the country’s top electronic act for their synthesized looping mixed with ‘70s funk and disco. Two of their albums been nominated for Grammy Awards—2009’s Divided by Night and 2004’s Legion of Boom. Showtime is 9 p.m. Sunday and tickets are $45-$55.

The Knotty Pine in Victor, Idaho is staging a familiar Teton County favorite in Lyrics Born with support from local DJ Cut la Whut. Lyrics Born is one of the best selling indie hip-hop artists, throwing down minimalist grooves and a less-bling-more-honesty approach to lyricism. Showtime is 10 p.m. and tickets are $20/advance or $25/day of show.
