JACKSON HOLE, WYO –Data compiled by DestiMetrics for the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce suggests a robust start to the tourist season through mid-June.

The Jackson Hole Daily Occupancy Report for 2018 (as of April 15) is showing an increase over last year this time for 48 of the 60 days covered by the report.

The Economic Dashboard March (DestiMetrics) also showed a positive trend nearly across the board pertaining to the local economy.

Visitation was up, overall, in March 2018 over the previous year including enplanements (+8%). Occupancy was also up across the board—both in beds (+1.3%) and bucks (+3.3%).

Real estate sales of residential and commercial were up in volume (+21.5%) for March 2018 compared to March 2017 though the total dollar amount was down (-2.1%).

Sales tax collections were 10.8% better this March than last. Lodging tax collection was also higher this March by 25.3%.
