JACKSON, Wyo. — Heads up, drivers.

E. Simpson Ave. will be closed between S. King Street and S. Willow Street on Thursday and Friday this week to accommodate construction work related to the ongoing Teton County Justice Center build. According to an announcement by the County, Thursday will bring a high volume of concrete trucks to the area, entering and exiting the construction site through the day. Friday will bring a mobile crane delivery plus delivery trucks stationed on Simpson as the project’s tower crane gets installed.

Next up: part of Simpson in front of the temporary courthouse (250 E. Simpson Ave.) will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians from June 24 through 26 for utility work and asphalt paving. On June 26, the alleyway behind the building will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians for asphalt paving.

“These closures are necessary to ensure public safety and to allow construction crews adequate space to complete the work efficiently,” Teton County’s announcement states. “Detours will be clearly marked, and drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians are encouraged to plan alternate routes. Teton County appreciates the community’s understanding and patience throughout the construction of the Justice Center.”
