JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton County Health Department is again requiring appointments for individuals who want to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, beginning tomorrow Aug. 18.

Appointments are available on Wednesdays from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday’s from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday’s from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Appointments are only 15 minutes and can be made online.

On Aug. 12, the FDA amended the emergency use authorization for the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines to allow individuals who are immunocompromised to receive a third dose. The amendment does not include individuals who received the Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccine.

Individuals who qualify can sign up for an appointment for a third-dose vaccine. The Wyoming Department of Health recently outlined the types of conditions that warrant the third dose.

Once the initial demand for these additional doses wanes, walk-in appointments will be resumed.
