DRIGGS, Idaho — Immigration enforcement activity was confirmed to be taking place Friday night, July 17, in Teton Valley, according to Teton Area Rapid Response Network (TARRN) and Teton Valley News (TVN).
TVN noted that two people were detained Friday night, and pointed out that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has been present in Idaho Falls in recent months.
TARRN confirmed the ICE presence with the Teton County (Idaho) Sheriff’s Office.
“Locations or targets are unknown at this time,” TARRN posted to social media Tuesday morning.
TARRN also looked into law enforcement activity in Jackson, noting that the operation underway around 9 a.m. on Tuesday at the Snow King and Flat Creek condominiums was a joint effort by the Jackson Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration without immigration officers involved.
