JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton County has announced the upcoming retirement of the Board of County Commissioners’ Administrator Jodie Pond.
The County said in a statement on Monday that Pond will retire later this year, after 13 years with Teton County. She served as Teton County’s Director of Health from 2013 to 2024. She was then appointed as Interim County Commissioners’ Administrator in March 2024 and hired as County Commissioners’ Administrator at the end of that year.
“Jodie has been an invaluable leader for Teton County,” said Teton County Board of Commissioners Chairman Mark Newcomb. “Her leadership as the Director of Health during COVID-19 was instrumental in keeping the community as healthy as possible. As County Administrator she brought us through a period of transition, strengthened County operations and improved internal culture. We are grateful for her service and for her willingness to stay on during the transition.”
The County is poised to launch a nationwide search for Pond’s replacement. Pond will remain in her role until a new administrator is selected, and she will work alongside her successor to provide training, support and a smooth transition. Pond said she has confidence in the future of the County, and that her decision came after much consideration.
“It has been an honor to work for Teton County,” Pond said in the statement. “I am committed to supporting the Board and staff throughout the transition and ensuring the next administrator is set up for success from day one.”
