JACKSON, Wyo. — The Teton County Justice Center is beginning to take shape.
Contractors for the project are starting to install the steel frame that will give the building its primary structure. This work is expected to progress over the next four weeks, according to a recent Teton County news release. The County anticipates an increase in heavy machinery and construction traffic near the construction site.
This next step will come with “noticeable changes to the scale and appearance of the project as the size of the new facility becomes more apparent.” The public is asked to adhere to all construction signage and posted directions in the area.
After the final beam is placed at the top of the structure, Teton County will celebrate the milestone with a “topping-out ceremony” to celebrate the collaborative efforts that have brought the project this far.
“The new 80,000-square-foot Justice Center will bring together several essential county services under one roof, including District Court, Circuit Court, the Clerk of Court, the Prosecuting Attorney, the Sheriff’s Office, Dispatch, and the Detention Center,” Teton County wrote in the announcement. “The Justice Center’s design is intended to modernize and streamline justice operations across these offices.”
