JACKSON, Wyo. — Christopher S. Leigh was sworn in as the new Municipal Judge for the Town of Jackson, yesterday Feb. 14.

Leigh was appointed by the Town Council on Feb. 8. He is replacing Judge Melissa M. Owens who was appointed by Governor Mark Gordon to District Court Judge for the Ninth Judicial District. Owens’ replaced Judge Timothy Day who retired.

Leigh was sworn in during a ceremony in the Town Chambers at 9:30 a.m. yesterday by Mayor Hailey Morton Levinson.

Leigh served as municipal judge, alternate municipal judge, and circuit court magistrate judge. He has volunteered with Teton County Search and Rescue since 2010.
