JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Center of Wonder announced the 2018 Spring Grant cycle is open for applications from local, non-profit arts and culture organizations. Applications are due on Friday, March 9, by 5pm.
Center of Wonder advocates for the arts in Jackson Hole and empowers its creative leaders. Its grants program provides essential financial support to the visions of local creative leaders and organizations. Center of Wonder is about empowering this creative community to take artistic risks and contribute to a vibrant arts culture.
Proposals should address one of the following community needs, and be accessible to a broad spectrum of community members.
- Creative Education: To support creativity for all ages in our community and school programs that encourage teaching, learning and experiencing the arts.
Artist-in-Residencies: To support artist-in-residency programs in all disciplines that encourage the creation, presentation and sharing of art in Jackson.
- Art Experiences: Festivals, temporary events, art gatherings/happenings, temporary installations.
- Storytelling: Giving voice to the stories that connect and inspire us.
All applicants must be a 501(c)3 designated organization, or be fiscally sponsored by one. At least one applicant organization must have a mission that promotes culture or the arts in Jackson Hole. A one-to-one cash match is required of all projects.
Center of Wonder was founded in 2007 to support community programming at the then newly opened Center for the Arts. In the past six years, Center of Wonder has distributed more than $750,000 in grants and awards and has dramatically increased collaboration among arts organizations in the valley.
