JACKSON, Wyo. \u2014 As the county has seen applications for large outdoor events pick up in recent years, a special open house will take place to define the process for hosting these larger-scale events like concerts and music festivals. Teton County staff will host a virtual open house to seek public input on proposed special event regulations on Monday June 29 at noon. The open house will be hosted virtually on Zoom video conferencing. It is open to the general public. Event planners and property owners that host events are encouraged to participate. In response to community feedback on the potential land use impacts of outdoor special events in some areas of the county, the Teton County Board of Commissioners is considering changes to the Land Development Regulations (LDRs). Planning staff has prepared a proposed LDR text amendment that would require large outdoor events or those that host overnight camping to obtain an approved Conditional Use Permit from the Board of County Commissioners. Current regulations only require sites that host outdoor events more than three times per year to obtain an approved Conditional Use Permit from the Board of County Commissioners. To better evaluate the impacts of regulatory change to the local outdoor event business sector, the public is invited to join planning staff for a public discussion prior to a Board decision on this item. WHAT: Public Open House on Outdoor Event Regulations WHEN: June 29, 2020 at noon WHERE: Online Zoom Meeting Meeting ID: 961 4201 4713 Phone Number: +1-669-900-6833 The Board of County Commissioners will meet on July 7, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. in the County Administration Building to consider adopting the proposed amendment.
