WYOMING \u2013 The Wyoming state fair kicks off tomorrow in Douglas and runs through Saturday, August 17.\n\nThe Wyoming state fair is a celebration of all things Wyoming and showcases state pride in our heritage, agriculture, industry, youth, entrepreneurs, artists and more. The weeklong fair is an agriculturally-focused event with an emphasis on education and youth activities. As the largest youth competition in the state, the Wyoming State Fair provides educational experiences and exposure to the agricultural industry for the competitors that are being molded into Wyoming's finest.\n\nUnlike many state fairs, competitions are center stage and very prominent in Douglas. Champions are made here and young people from around the state are proud to have earned an opportunity to compete at the Wyoming state fair.\n\n\u201cThe State Fair is a celebration of all things agriculture,\u201d said interim fair manager Daniel Cheney. \u201cIt has showcased the heritage and entrepreneurial spirit of Wyoming\u2019s ag industry since 1905, while bringing education and entertainment, as well.\u201d\n\nFair highlights this year include concert featuring Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers on Thursday night, PRCA rodeo and crowning of Miss Rodeo Wyoming on Friday night, and demolition derby Saturday night.
