JACKSON HOLE, WYO \u2013 The Jackson Hole Chorale is looking for a few new recruits. Now in its 36th year as Jackson\u2019s community choir, JHC is offering open enrollment for all singers regardless of talent level.\u00a0No audition is required. All you need is a desire to build your choral skills and perform with the group. JHC has flourished in the past four years under the direction of Ron Fabry. Fabry is a highly credentialed director with an extensive background and accreditation in choral conducting. He also sports a Master's Degree in Church Music & Organ performance. Fabry encourages ordinary people to do extraordinary things: by challenging them to grow personally, musically and spiritually. Everybody was acting fighting Want to learn how to (fake) fight? Riot Act Inc. again offering its highly popular Stage Combat Class. It\u2019s taught by professional fight director Michael J. Johnson. The class will include stage combat training. Stage combat is the theatrical representation of violence performed during the course of a live performance that focuses on safety and repetition.\u00a0This class will focus on unarmed combat.\u00a0Just as a ballet dancer must first learn a tondu or pli\u00e9 before they can perform the Nutcracker, an actor too must first learn the basics before they can pick up a sword and play Romeo. Unarmed stage combat teaches these basics, such as partnering, timing, communication, distance, and safety.\u00a0The curriculum will consist of safe, yet theatrically viable slaps, punches, kicks, falls, sweeps, throws, rolls, and takedowns.
