JACKSON, Wyo. — Candlelight vigil events will be held in Jackson and Victor on the evening of Thursday, Dec. 7, to remember the lives of Kali Randall Best and her son Zeke Best.
Teton Valley’s Family Safety Network and Mental Health Coalition will hold a candlelight vigil in remembrance of Kali Randall Best and her son Zeke Best in Victor City Park at 6 p.m.
“We are deeply saddened and grieving the homicide of Kali Randall, her unborn child, and the death of her son Zeke,” Family Safety Network posted on Facebook. “Any loss of life is tragic. Our community has felt the pain of deep loss this year. The loss of life at the hands of someone who claimed to love and care for the victims can feel especially senseless.”
Attendees are asked to bring their own candles if possible. A public memorial will be displayed on the park’s stage, including an opportunity for individuals to write messages to the deceased. The memorial will remain on display through the end of December.
“Anyone is welcome to come to remember and honor the lives of Kali and Zeke,” the Facebook post reads. “Whether you knew them personally or not, in a small town the ripple effects of one person’s life reach far and wide.”
In Jackson, community members are invited to gather in Town Square with candles at 6 p.m. for a simultaneous vigil.
