WILSON, Wyo. — Teton Pass will close early tomorrow morning for avalanche hazard mitigation, announced the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) today.

The scheduled closure will begin at 3 a.m. on Saturday, April 16.

“Reduced visibility, winter driving conditions and increasing avalanche hazard may
force an earlier closure,” said WYDOT.

Due to the scheduled closure, there will be no parking along WY 22 between the State Line closure gate (Milepost 17) and the Wilson WY closure gate (Milepost 7) beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, Friday, April 15.

WYDOT advises highway travelers and backcountry users to plan accordingly.
