JACKSON, Wyo. — Jackson Hole will be the site of a new ski town drama series from Amazon Studios, according to entertainment outlet Deadline.
The show, dubbed “Teton,” is currently on the “fast track” for development. It was co-created and written by husband and wife duo Amy B. Harris and Jason Reilly and based on an original idea from country musician Cameron Duddy.
Harris is known for her work as a producer for HBO’s “Sex in the City” and CW’s “Gossip Girl.”
“[The show] will follow Kick Taylor – a ski racing phenom – who returns to her hometown to contend with the emotional meltdown she had on tour, the ramifications of her mother’s death and the family and friends she left behind in her pursuit of gold,” wrote Deadline.
The drama series will follow Taylor and her mountain community as she struggles to “find her footing” in her return home.
“There will be epic skiing, envy-inducing real estate, apres ski cocktails, cozy nights around a fire, a moose encounter or two and high stakes drama as Kick reckons with whether it is possible to ‘go big AND go home’,” said Deadline.
At the time of publishing, there is no release date for the show, but it is set to eventually premiere on the Prime Video streaming platform.
