JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton Youth & Family Services invites the community to the 2025 Youth Mental Health Summit, a three-day event dedicated to confronting the critical issues facing today’s youth, including the impact of technology and the urgent need for suicide prevention.
Held May 14 through 16 at The Virginian Lodge in Jackson Hole, the summit brings together parents, youth, educators, health professionals, and policymakers to learn, reflect and take meaningful action. This is more than a conference: it’s a shared commitment to support local youth and build stronger, healthier communities.
Summit highlights:
Wednesday, May 14, kicks off with a Welcome Celebration at Astoria Hot Springs (4 to 7:30 p.m.). The event features a Summit Blessing from The Rev. Dr. Travis Helms and time to connect in a beautiful, restorative setting.
Thursday, May 15 features a full day of workshops led by national experts, including Dr. Megan Moreno, Dr. Nicholas Kardaras and Clark Fairbanks (ACES Trainer). Attendees can participate in youth impact panels and adult listening sessions led by the Prosper Team. During lunch, we’ll screen Wyoming PBS’s A State of Mind – Generation Found, followed by a keynote from Senator Fred Baldwin on youth mental health policy. The evening wraps up with a dinner, film and keynote conversation with professional skier and ultrarunner Drew Petersen, who will share his personal mental health journey.
Friday, May 16 is all about putting ideas into action. While youth engage in an immersive session with the Boston Children’s Hospital Digital Learning Lab, adults and community leaders can explore practical next steps through solution-driven policy panels. At lunch, Dr. Drew Ramsey, Jackson Holes’s own psychiatrist and author, will lead an interactive “Brain Bowl” experience on nutrition and mental health. A special breakout lunch for coaches and mentors with Drew Petersen will offer tools for fostering connection, vulnerability and resilience among young athletes.
Throughout the summit, participants can also unwind and reset through self-care sessions with Dancers’ Workshop, Sound Healing in the Tetons and the Art Association of Jackson Hole. The resource area will be open throughout, connecting attendees with local organizations and service providers.
Professionals can earn up to 14.75 Continuing Education (CE) credits through eligible sessions accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) and American Medical Association (AMA). This is a valuable opportunity for professional development while tackling some of today’s most pressing challenges.
The event concludes with the 3rd Annual Shine Gala at The Cloudveil on Friday evening (6 to 9 p.m.), where attendees will come together to celebrate shared progress and raise funds to support youth mental health programs across the region.
