JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Yellowstone National Park superintendent Cam Sholly back in August said he thinks visitation to the oldest national has plateaued a bit at around the 4-million-plus mark, annually. The latest data suggests he’s right on.
Park authorities announced Yellowstone hosted 693,118 visits in September 2019. That’s a 4.3 percent decrease from September 2018. So far in 2019, the park has hosted 3,807,814 visits, down 1.4 percent from the same period last year.
