YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK — Yellowstone National Park (YNP) is reminding spring breakers who might be visiting the park that it’s still winter up north.
According to YNP, the area is now experiencing what it’s calling “its second winter” after a false spring, with more snowy conditions to come.
“If your dream spring break includes snowdrifts and the occasional bison traffic jam, come on up to the North Entrance in Gardiner, Montana — it’s the only one open!” YNP writes. “Just don’t forget your parka.”
YNP recently shared that snow plowing operations have begun in anticipation of the upcoming summer tourist season. Plowing began on Monday, March 3, and is expected to take close to three months to prepare for spring visitors. Check out some photos shared by the Park below:
