JACKSON, Wyo. — Buckrail photographer Nick Sulzer came across two sparring bull moose in Grand Teton National Park, where there was neither a winner or a loser.

Sparring is practice fighting that bulls use to gain experience, according to the National Park Service. It resembles fighting as two or more bulls engage their antlers and push each other back and forth. Sparring typically consists of little more than gentle antler contact and mild pushing.

Inexperienced bulls participate in sparring more than older bulls and generally there is no loser or winner. It’s all for fun.
