WILSON, Wyo. — The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) has announced that it will shift traffic at the intersection of WY22 and WY390 beginning on Wednesday, May 1 to allow crews to finish installing the wildlife crossing box under WY390. WYDOT says no significant traffic delays are expected as a result of the work.
According to WYDOT, westbound WY22 traffic will be able to use a new, free right-turn lane before the traffic light. Southbound WY390 traffic turning onto WY22 will be shifted east, but will still have dedicated left and right turn lanes. Eastbound through-traffic on WY22 will remain in the new bypass lane. Eastbound WY22 traffic turning left onto WY390 will use an adjacent lane controlled by the signal.
Crews from WYDOT and Ames Construction Crews will also be pouring additional concrete pavement at the intersection.
“WYDOT’s first priority is safety of drivers and construction crew members,” the agency said in its announcement. “Please travel slowly through the construction zone and follow all speed limits, signals, directional signs and flagging instructions.”
