WILSON, Wyo. — The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) announced that it would be slightly relocating the temporary traffic lights at the intersection of WY22 and WY390 on Tuesday, March 19, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The signal for southbound WY390 will be moved closer to the intersection, WYDOT said. The temporary signal was initially installed farther from the intersection, farther up the road on WY390, to accomodate the construction of the new signal poles and mast. Groundwork for the new signal has been completed, so the temporary signal can move “closer to the original signal’s location, which will be more familiar to local drivers,” WYDOT said.
Work will be carried out by contract crews from Ames Construction. No lane closure is expected, WYDOT said, “but there may be minimal delays.” Flaggers will conduct traffic in the intersection during construction hours.
The temporary signals are expected to remain in place through early April, when the new permanent signal is scheduled to be installed, the agency previously shared.
