JACKSON, Wyo. — Drivers, keep an eye out for road striping crews.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) posted to social media reminding the public that crews will be working on striping efforts on WY22 this week during the day. They will be working on the stretches of road that were recently paved. Stripers travel at reduced speeds during painting and travel with a shadow car. Drivers should remain aware of striping trucks on the road and slow down accordingly.
“Drivers are urged to not follow stripers too closely and only pass when it is safe to do so,” WYDOT said. “Drivers should be aware that driving over wet paint can reduce the reflectivity of the markings, as well as stick to your vehicle.”
