JACKSON, Wyo. — Enjoy what’s left of the fall season while it’s still here.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for areas of Teton County above 7,000 feet in elevation, excluding Yellowstone National Park. The advisory will be in effect from noon on Saturday to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Total snow accumulations of 5 to 8 inches are expected above 9,000 feet. Elevations between 7,000 and 9,000 feet could see up to 5 inches. This includes the Teton and Gros Ventre mountain ranges.

“Travel could be difficult at times over mountain passes, namely along Togwotee Pass,” the advisory reads.

The route between Moran and Dubois could see 5 to 8 inches of snow. The first forecast of snow accumulation is a good reminder to slow down and use caution while traveling. For road conditions, visit the Wyoming Department of Transportation travel map.
