JACKSON, Wyo. — The National Weather Service (NWS) Riverton Office has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for northwestern Wyoming, in effect from Friday at 3 p.m. to Sunday at noon.
Snow accumulation is expected during that time frame. According to the NWS, 5 to 10 inches of snow could accumulate in the southwestern portion of Yellowstone National Park, with 3 to 6 inches expected elsewhere in the region. Wind gusts could hit 35 mph.
“Travel could be very difficult,” the weather alert said. “Slow down and use caution while traveling.”
