Winter dog park ready to go soon at fairgrounds

JACKSON, Wyo. — The Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation Department will soon be setting up the seasonal dog park located on the west side of the Teton County Fairgrounds on Snow King Avenue.

As efforts continue to find a permanent home for cavorting canines, the seasonal dog run on the fairgrounds property has been the default for dog owners.

Parks & Rec, in collaboration with PAWS of JH, will again set up the chain-link fence enclosure with double-doored entrances to accommodate off-leash recreational opportunities during the winter months.

It is hoped the work will be done by Friday November, 8. The park will be open to the public from November 8, 2019 until May 1, 2020—weather dependent, sunrise to sunset.

Nonprofit partner PAWS will be providing mutt mitts and handling refuse collection for proper disposal. Please be respectful of others using the facility and clean up after your pet.
