The approaching storm system is a bit slower on arrival than previously expected, so while occasional light snow showers can be expected during the day on Tuesday, most of the snow will hold off until Tuesday night.  The inversion has remained in place due to the slow arrival but will erode this afternoon with highs reaching the mid 30s in the valley, while temperatures at 9,000 ft will remain steady in the low 20s.  Mountain winds Tuesday will be out of the west/southwest at 10-20 mph with gusts to 30 mph with valley winds out of the south at 5-15 mph.

More widespread snow will arrive Tuesday evening and continue overnight with snow amounts ranging from 3-6″ in the Tetons through Wednesday morning, and 1-3″ in the Jackson Hole Valley.  Overnight lows will fall into the mid 20s in the valley.

Periods of light to moderate snow will continue throughout the day Wednesday and into Wednesday night, with additional snow amounts ranging from 3-6″ in the Tetons and 1-2″ in the valley.  Temperatures will be colder on Wednesday with highs in the upper 20s in the valley and in the low teens at 9,000 ft.  Mountain winds will be out of the west/northwest at 10-20 mph.

Mostly cloudy skies and occasional flurries will persist into Thursday, but otherwise, it will be a quieter day with warmer temperatures as highs rise into the low/mid 30s in the valley.
