JACKSON, Wyo. — The National Weather Service and Teton County Emergency Management are teaming up to present Weather Night, an event intended to educate the public about spotting potentially dangerous weather.

Participants will hear from National Weather Service meteorologists, who will provide tips for forecasting with an emphasis on anticipating hazardous events.

Attendees will also be encouraged to join the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network (CoCoRaHS), a nationwide volunteer network that measures and maps precipitation.

Weather Night will be hosted by the Teton County Library on Tuesday, June 27, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Visit https://www.tetoncountywy.gov/320/Emergency-Management to register for this free event. Light refreshments will be provided and giveaways will include precipitation gauges and portable radios.
