Village will add outdoor ice skating rink this winter

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – How spectacular will winter look now at Teton Village with the addition of an outdoor skating rink? Besides the world-class downhill skiing and an extensive groomed Nordic course at the base of the mountain, the Teton Village Association (TVA) announced today the opening of the Village ice skating rink on the Commons for the upcoming winter season.

The rink is made possible through a partnership with the Grand Teton Skating Association. They are the same organization that sets up an outdoor sheet on the town square every winter.

The rink will be open daily from 3 to 9pm, beginning mid-December, with skate rentals available for $12 in a warming hut next to the rink. Skating on the rink will be free to those who bring their own skates.

The Village Rink will take the place of the sledding hill on the Commons plaza. TVA and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort will still have the great snow castle on the lower Commons that kids love to explore. Stay tuned for special events on the Village Rink this winter.
