JACKSON, WY— Center for the Arts is adding two big-name bonus shows to their fall lineup this year.
First, join Grammy and Oscar-winning singer-songwriter Ryan Bingham for an intimate evening of songs and stories on Wednesday, November 28. This is a rare opportunity to see Bingham perform solo acoustic and hear him share the stories behind the songs.
Bingham was born in New Mexico and raised all across Texas and the southwestern United States. He set out on his own at a young age to perform gigs at no-frills bars across the country. It’s his spirit of having done plenty of living early on that informed the singer-songwriter’s world-weary, weather-beaten vocals.

Then Friday, December 14, experience the Blind Boys of Alabama with special guest Ruthie Foster.
The Blind Boys of Alabama are recognized worldwide as living legends of gospel music. Celebrated by The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) with Lifetime Achievement Awards, inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, and winners of five Grammy® Awards, they have attained the highest levels of achievement in a career that spans over 70 years.
Ruthie Foster, meanwhile, has built herself an empire and an impressive trophy case—she has been nominated for a Best Blues Album Grammy three times in a row, has won seven Blues Music Wards, three Austin Music Wards, the Grand Prix du Disque award from the Académie Charles-Cros in France, and a Living Blues Critics’ Award for Female Blues Artist of the Year.
She has one of the most impressive musical resumes of any Austinite. And she will join The Blind Boys of Alabama for a special Christmas show Friday, December 14 at 7 p.m.
Tickets for both shows go on sale September 20.
