JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Most of the nation turned out in big numbers for a Midterm Election today and Teton County was no exception. Political engagement was the name of the game November 6.

Turnout for the 2018 Midterm General Election in Teton County was extremely robust with 11,852 casting ballots out of 14,653 registered voters—an 80.1% turnout. That compares to the last midterm in 2014 when just 8,096 voted out of 12,808 registered voters—a 63% turnout.

In fact, the numbers for a non-presidential election compare favorably to the 2016 General Election when 12,795 votes were cast in Teton County, representing a 96.6% turnout. In 2012, 96% turned out in the General Election casting a total of 11,507 ballots.
