JACKSON, Wyo — Skip the traffic, help save the environment (and your wallet), and enjoy a bike ride to work this coming Tuesday, July 12.
Friends of Pathways (FOP) will offer free coffee, pastries and giveaways for the pedal-powered commuters in both Wilson and Jackson.
Free coffee and bagels will be available at the Stilson from 7:30 to 9 a.m. lot for Wilson and Teton Valley bike commuters. On the return trip to Stilson, cyclists can enjoy free Rosas Tamales, drinks and bike check-ups courtesy of Hoback Sports from 5 to 7 p.m. Commuters biking from town can stop by Picnic for free FOP merch, bells and bike lights as well as coffee and muffins from 7:30 to 9 a.m.
“It makes sense to encourage employees to get out of their cars and onto bikes, too,” Friends of Pathways executive director Katherine Dowson said. “Not only does it beat sitting in traffic, but it’s a perfect way to clear your head before and after the workday.”
All Bike to Work Day commuters can enter to win a Specialized Stumpjumper EVO Comp Alloy mountain bike for free. Multiple entries will be awarded to Bike to Work Day participants. The bike will be raffled off at the end of summer.
