JACKSON, WY— Local artist Shannon Troxler loves to draw inspiration from other disciplines.
Her recent body of work, “Note by Note, Line by Line,” is a celebration of two of those disciplines. The public now has two opportunities to learn from the artist: an artist talk on Wednesday, September 5, and a Palates and Palettes reception Friday, September 7.
Each piece in “Note by Note, Line by Line,” praises the visual symphony of music and dance: the graceful curve of a cello scroll, the arch of a dancer’s foot, the gestures, movement, and raw passion embodied by an orchestra. Troxler has transformed the Center for the Arts gallery into a corridor of full ink drawings dipped in wax and back lit to glow with a translucent light.
Join Troxler from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, and again from 5-6:30 p.m. Friday, September 7. The Palates and Palettes reception will include a live dance performance at 5:20 and 6:20 by Heidi Christine, live music by Molly Moon and Chris Moran, and light bites from Trio. Troxler’s works will display in the gallery until September 24.
