JACKSON, Wyo. — On Tuesday, July 1, the Teton County Board of County Commissioners approved fee adjustments for the Teton County Transfer Station and commercial corrugated cardboard recycling services following a scheduled public hearing.

Teton County Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling (ISWR) wrote via press release that the adopted fee increases, which average approximately 6%, are aligned with a 6% growth in ISWR’s overall budgeted expenses. Many of these rising costs are driven by multi-year contracts that include built-in annual escalators ranging from 2% to 6%.

“This model ensures that ISWR remains financially self-sufficient and accountable, with all revenues directly supporting the services it provides to the community,” ISWR wrote.

According to Teton County, ISWR relies on user fees rather than property taxes or general fund support to fund its operations.

“These changes are designed to keep pace with operational costs while continuing to provide essential solid waste and recycling services to Teton County residents and businesses,” per Teton County.

The new rates will go into effect on July 2.
