JACKSON, Wyo. — Temple Grandin’s speaking engagement at the Center sold out quickly, but those who missed out on tickets will be able to livestream the event.

Grandin’s appearance will kick off the Brainstorm Speaker Series, a collaboration by Center for the Arts, the Teton County Library and the Jackson Hole News&Guide. The noted animal behavior and autism expert will present “Great Minds Are Not All the Same,” a speech about different types of thinkers.

“We are excited to present Temple Grandin because not only is she a prolific writer and renowned for her work with animals, she is an out-of-the-box thinker who encourages creative thinking and is an advocate for neurodiversity,” Teton County Library Adult Program Coordinator Leah Shlachter said in a press release.

Tickets for the event “sold out” (tickets are free) within an hour of going on sale, according to the Center. Those who can’t attend in person will be able to livestream the event via the Center website using this link.

ASL interpretation will be incorporated into the livestream and the live event. Spanish interpretation will be available for those attending in person.

This speaker series will also bring Jesse Eisinger, Shankar Vedantam and Ed Yong to the Center.

Grandin’s program will begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7.
