JACKSON, Wyo. — On Friday, March 1, at 7 p.m., the 9th annual presentation of the Moth Mainstage returns to The Center Theater.

For almost a decade, The Center has hosted orators from across the country and world to our stage to tell a 10-minute story on a specific theme.

In its 25-year history, The Moth has presented more than 45,000 stories, told live without notes, by people from all walks of life to standing-room-only crowds worldwide. The Moth Podcast is downloaded more than 90 million times a year, and the Peabody Award-winning “The Moth Radio Hour” airs weekly on more than 570 public radio stations nationwide.

Theme: THE TIES THAT BIND

Enjoy a night of stories of being tethered: to family, the past or long-held secrets. Self-restraint or unexpected betrayals. Moments that linger, from fleeting connections to unbreakable bonds. Adding links to the chain, and finding the people who ground you. Moving from shallow waters to deep roots. Here’s to finally knowing when it’s time to let loose.

Host: Peter Aguero was born and raised in the wilds of South Jersey. He’s been working with The Moth since 2007 as a storyteller, instructor and host. His solo show “Daddy Issues” has played the far reaches and middle grounds of North America, mostly to acclaim (except for one guy in Fresno, CA. That guy hated it). He makes his home with Dr. Fine in Queens and rides his bike all over the city, almost dying exactly three times every trip.
