JACKSON, Wyo. — On Saturday, June 13, Teton Valley Trout Unlimited (TVTU) will host the third annual Teton Valley Kids Fishing Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Trail Creek Pond in Victor. The event is free to attend.

Children will have the opportunity to learn about fishing, conservation and the natural world through a variety of activities and educational stands. Those that do not have rods and gear will be provided with them at the event, although participants are welcome to bring their own gear.

“Teton Valley Trout Unlimited is committed to investing in the next generation of anglers and conservationists,” said TVTU president Jeffrey Johnston in a statemet. “Kids Fishing Day is designed to introduce young people to fishing while fostering an appreciation for our rivers, streams, and aquatic resources.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to bring home fishing rods and fishing gear while supplies remain available. Refreshments will be provided including root beer, pizza and ice cream.

Because of limited parking, a complimentary shuttle service will be available from Kotler Ice Arena.

Those interested in attending are encouraged to fill out the registration form here, although it’s not required.
