TETON VALLEY, IDA – Teton Valley News is reporting a fraud case involving the Teton School District 401 has resulted in the loss of more than three quarters of a million dollars in payouts to a fraudulent account.
According to the story, the district admits to some $784,833 has been paid to what the district thought was Headwaters Construction. It never got there. Instead, the money appears to have been lost to fraud.
An FBI investigation is underway. The school board will discuss the matter at its January 7 meeting.
