Teton Pass will close at 3am

JACKSON HOLE, WYO– The Wyoming Department of Transportation has scheduled a closure of Teton Pass for tomorrow, Friday, February 15 at 3:00am for avalanche control.

Reduced visibility, winter driving conditions, and increasing avalanche hazard may force an earlier closure. No parking at the summit of Teton Pass and Coal Creek beginning at 8pm tonight will be strictly enforced.

Avalanche mitigation yesterday at Cow of the Woods in the Hoback Canyon brought down about 8 feet of snow covering the highway.

Highway travelers and backcountry users are advised to plan accordingly.
