JACKSON, Wyo.—In May of 2019, two generous residents of Wyoming donated a total of $883,000 to assist in the effort of outfitting the entire state of Wyoming with all-day rifle rated armor. On Monday, January 27th, at 6 p.m., the Teton County Sheriff’s Office will receive 42 sets of potentially life-saving rifle rated armor at the Jackson Hole Campus of Gateway Church.

This generous donor gift, in partnership with nonprofit SHIELD616, will outfit 300 law enforcement officers from all around the state including the Teton County Sheriff’s Office, the Laramie Police Department, University of Wyoming Police Department, Albany County Sheriff’s Office, Laramie County Sheriff’s Office, Teton County Sheriff’s Office, Cheyenne Police Department, and Casper Police Department.

The specific gear that will be provided during the presentation costs a total of $1350 per deputy. This includes front and back level lllA rifle plates and a Revision Batlskin helmet. The total amount to outfit the Teton County Sheriff’s Office is $56,700.

The presentation will be held on January 27th at 6 p.m. at the Jackson Hole Campus of Gateway Church, 3205 West Big Trail Drive, Jackson, Wyoming, 83001.
